Shipping and delivery

1. Scope

This policy regulates the shipping and delivery conditions for orders placed through the Montado online shop.

2. Destinations

Montado ships to:

  • Mainland Portugal;

  • Madeira and the Azores;

  • European Union countries;

  • European countries outside the European Union;

  • The rest of the world;

  • Other legally permitted destinations.

Montado reserves the right to refuse shipments to destinations subject to legal, logistical, customs, commercial or operational restrictions.

3. Carriers

Orders can be dispatched via one or more of the following carriers:
DPD, VASP, CTT, UPS and DHL.

The choice of carrier may vary depending on the destination, weight, size of the parcel, type of product and Montado's logistical criteria.

4. Average delivery times

The estimated average times are

  • Mainland Portugal: between 24 and 48 working hours;

  • Madeira and the Azores: between 3 and 6 working days;

  • European Union and other European countries: between 3 and 5 working days;

  • other countries in the world: between 3 and 5 working days.

Deadlines are estimated, are counted in working days and may change for reasons beyond the control of Montado, including logistical delays, customs control, operational constraints or force majeure events.

5. Shipping costs

Unless otherwise stated, the applicable postage rates are:

  • Mainland Portugal: 4,95 €;

  • Mainland Portugal: free postage on orders equal to or greater than 50 €;

  • Madeira and the Azores: 9,95 €;

  • European Union: 17,00 €;

  • European countries outside the European Union: 19,90 €;

  • The rest of the world: 49,50 €.

6. Processing

Orders can be placed at any time, but are processed on working days.

Preparation and dispatch of the order depends on confirmation of payment, stock availability and internal validation of the order.

7. Tracking

Whenever the carrier allows it, the customer will receive tracking information to follow the status of the delivery.

8. PO Box deliveries

Montado does not deliver to PO boxes.

9. Customs Fees and Import Charges

For orders dispatched to countries outside the European Union, the recipient may be liable to pay customs duties, import VAT, customs charges or other local costs in the country of destination, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.

10. Parcels returned to sender

If the order is returned to Montado for a reason attributable to the customer, including incorrect address, incomplete address, absence of the recipient, failure to collect at a collection point or unjustified refusal, Montado may:
a) request payment of new postage for reshipment; or
b) accept the cancellation of the order and proceed with the refund, deducting the shipping costs and any charges borne by Montado.
